When Disaster Strikes, Life Doesn't Stop β It Changes Overnight.
Floods, droughts, cyclones, landslides and other natural disasters can disrupt lives within hours. For families already struggling to meet their daily needs, recovering from a disaster can be an overwhelming journey.
A disaster does not only damage houses and roads. It disrupts childhood. It interrupts education. It destroys livelihoods. It separates families from their sense of security. And it can take years to return to a normal life.
At TrueLeaf Foundation, we believe disaster response should go beyond providing immediate relief. Our aim is to stand with affected communities from the moment disaster strikes through the long journey of recovery and rebuilding.

WHEN DISASTER STRIKES, WHAT HAPPENS TO A LIFE?
A Student's Education Gets Interrupted
For a child, a disaster can mean more than a damaged school. Books may be washed away. School uniforms may be lost. Schools may become temporary shelters or remain closed. Families struggling to arrange food and shelter may no longer be able to prioritise education. When Education Stops, A Child's Future Can Be Put On Hold. TrueLeaf Foundation aims to support affected children with essential educational materials and help them return to learning as quickly as possible.
Early Childhood Care Gets Disrupted
Young children are especially vulnerable during disasters.
Anganwadis, childcare centres and early learning spaces gets damaged and become inaccessible.
Children loses access to nutrition, early education and safe spaces at a time when they need them most. A Disaster Should Not Steal A Child's Right To Learn, Grow And Be Cared For. We aim to support vulnerable children and communities in restoring safe spaces for early childhood care and education.

For A Poor Family, A Flood Is Not Just Water. It Can Be A Lost Livelihood.
A farmer may lose crops, seeds, livestock or agricultural equipment. A daily wage worker may lose access to work. A small vendor may lose their shop and belongings. A family may lose the tools that helped them earn their daily income.
The Disaster May Last For Days. The Financial Impact Can Last For Years. TrueLeaf Foundation works towards supporting affected families in restoring their livelihoods.
